For thousands of years, songs and chants have been used for prayer, meditation, healing, and calming - and now you can expand your personal repertoire. On Sunday, February 9th, we'll gather in a Sacred Song Circle facilitated by Carrie De Martini. Participants will learn (or listen to) simple songs that can serve them - as well as others.
There is no need to identify as "A Singer." You only need to have a love of songs and a call to experience how calming and peaceful it is when healing song vibrations flow through your body and spirit.
You'll leave with your very own songbook and recordings (if you would like to make them) to deepen your connection with the songs on your own. If you prefer not to sing, that's fine, too! Just listen and sing along in your head.
The Sacred Song Circle will take place in the Parish Hall from 5:00 to 6:00.
Carrie De Marini is a member of Spiritus Knox and has spent more than a decade singing soothing songs at the bedsides of those who are dying - and to their families and caregivers. Singing is her favorite form of prayer, and the songs she'll be teaching on 2/9 are her go-to's when she needs soothing, focus, or to reconnect with the Divine.
